CASA
NICAJSIGUAN
LIVE IN PARADISE
JAIBALITO, GUATEMALA

LOCATION
In the heart of the Guatemalan highlands - the land of eternal spring, on the shores of the breathtaking volcanic lake which Aldous Huxley called "too much of a good thing" you will find Casa Nicajasiguan.
A 2.5 hour drive from Guatemala City, and short boat ride to this sustainably built natural oasis. Casa Nicajsiguan (meaning the cliff near water in the local Mayan dialect of Kaqchikel) was built in 2001 by local craftsmen and artisans. The design of the house was inspired by the natural beauty of the majestic cliffs surrounding the house which have been incorporated into the walls. All materials for building were locally and sustainably harvested. This house is perfectly situated to take in the impressive views of the three sleeping giants - Volcan Toliman, Volcan Atitlan and Volcan San Pedro.
Casa Nicajsiguan is a 10 minute walk from the village of Jaibalito, or a 25 minute walk to Santa Cruz La Laguna. The house also has a private dock which allows you to traverse the lake by public or private boat.
